Dear Tenants,
We have been made aware of a recent security deposit & application fee scam targeting rental communities in the area. Scammers may contact potential tenants pretending to be property managers. They are also setting up possible showing with that potential tenant trying to get them to pay a security deposit first and promising a showing of the unit. If anyone is asking for access to your unit or offering to “inspect” the unit before move-out, please make sure it is one of us from the office.
For your safety and protection, please note the following:
· Our company will never send anyone to your unit without one of our representatives present.
· If you have submitted a notice to vacate, any showings to prospective tenants will always be scheduled directly through our office at least 24 hours prior to the showing. You would be talking to Anita, Dawn, Luka or Melissa.
· A member of our staff will always accompany any prospective tenant during a showing. No one should arrive at your door alone or with prior communication.
· Application fees are not due unless the potential tenant signs a lease. We do not charge up front fees for applications
